Awaaz does not require an account. We do not collect, sell, or share your recordings or transcripts.
Data stored on your device
Audio recordings, transcripts, and settings are stored locally (IndexedDB). Clearing site data or uninstalling removes them.
Microphone
The microphone is used only when you start a recording. Audio is processed and stored on your device.
Speech-to-text
Optional live transcription uses the browser Web Speech API (for example Chrome on Android). That feature may send audio to the browser vendor’s speech service according to the browser’s own privacy policy. You can turn live STT off in Settings and still record audio.
No tracking or ads
No advertising SDKs, analytics, or third-party trackers are included.
Hosting
Standard server logs may be processed by Cloudflare for security and delivery.
